How to Adapt 93-97Altima bumper lights to a P11
Since there are no clear lights available, the Altima bumper lights are perfect to adapt to the P11 bumper lights. I previously made a cheap set out of my factory yellow lights and florescent light diffuser but it didn't look professional enough for me so I bought a set of clear Altima bumper lights from www.customaltima.com for $35 after a recommendation from Seneb on the forum. If you don't want to spend the money you can make a set like I previously did using my HOW TO. Here's how to adapt the Altima lights.
As you can see in the picture above, the Altima lights are the same size but are a little more square than the G20 lights and have some different mounting hardware. The first thing I had to do was unscrew the 2 screws holding the brackets in place. After the brackets are removed you will need to get the foam tape out of the way so you can shave the bottom flat. Once the foam is out the way you will need to cut off the plastic that holds the metal bracket in place. I used a hack saw and cut right up to the light bulb socket. Once all that is out of the way and the light is flat with the exception of the light socket you will need to give the corners a little more round so they will fit better. I found that they fit better if I shaved the sides slightly as well, it let them sit more in the hole . When all is done it should look like the pictures below.
Once the light is fitted you just need to slightly adapt the bulb socket hole to accommodate the P11 light socket. I marked the grooves and filed the hole with a small file till it fit in and locked tight. This will save the trouble of having to source some Altima light sockets and splicing them into the P11 harness. After every thing is ready to install apply some 3M double side tape to the back to secure them to the bumper. This will leave the lights looking a lot cleaner then if you were to drill a hole to secure them as the factory's were.
